Our First Post of the New Year!

I know that it has been a while since our last post, but we have a lot to report! Monroe has been crawling around like crazy, and he has learned how to pull himself up to a standing postition. Now we have to chase him around the house as he chases after the cat. (Monroe thinks that she is just the funniest thing that he has ever seen!)

Monroe has also decided that he is now old enough to begin feeding himself.



As you can see he isn't quite sure where his mouth is or how to use a spoon, but he gets very upset if we don't let him try it himself. We think that maybe he has a future in finger painting.

Last weekend Katie's friend from college, Beth, and her boyfriend came to visit us. We all got to go to Wintergreen where we had a terrific time snow tubing! (Monroe and Dad stayed warm inside by the fire.)

Beth even managed to get a picture as we sped down the hill!

This week we are reading...

Monroe likes reading books with pigs these days. (Could it be he looks to them for inspiration?) We also really like looking for the little hidden yellow duck on every page. Can you find him on the cover?
