A Very Busy Winter
It has been a very busy winter here at the Harrison house. In January, Monroe welcomed his sister, Martha Grace and he has had fun playing in the snow with his grandparents and his uncle. Enjoy all of the pictures!

We cut down our Christmas tree again this year, but this time Monroe was big enough to point Daddy in the right direction. "This is the tree, Daddy!"

Part of our Christmas visit to Main Street Station in downtown Richmond during Christmas.

Building a snowman with Nana, Grandpa, and Uncle Mike. We are all tired of snow up here!

Sadly, Monroe's team did not win the Super Bowl. In the second picture, I think he is upset that Manning just threw that interception!

Nana's Visit and Playing in the H20
Here are the rest of the pictures that I was promising.

Monroe and Nana reading a book!

Monroe and Mommy playing in the pool at Staunton River State Park.

Monroe plays with the splash mat in the yard.
We are all really looking forward to Monroe starting at the new school next month. He got his boarding pass last week and he gets to visit in a few weeks. Very exciting.

So much going on in July!
Well it took some begging and several threats, but I am finally updating the blog pictures. Monroe is really getting big now. He's walking pretty well now, although he still stumbles quite a bit. He definitely knows what he wants these days and is not afraid to whine until he gets it. He loves to figure how things work and trying to fit things together.
These first pictures are from the fireworks at Genworth on the third of July. That was a wonderful day that we got to share with our friends! We had a picnic and sat around in the grass listening to the patriotic music. Monroe spent most of the time going in the cooler for watermelon or ice. It was such a great weekend that I can't wait to do it again next year!

These are our friends RT and Molly who met us at the fireworks. It was great having them around!

The next two pictures are of Matthew and Monroe at Lewis Ginter on the Fourth of July. The garden was really crowded and hot, but we still had fun.

That's all the pictures for today, but check back next week and I'll post the pictures from my mom's visit! If you check back and I haven't posted yet, then just cut out a few magazine letters and drop me a note. That seems to get me moving.

Father's Day Weekend
Monroe really enjoyed celebrating Father's Day with his daddy this weekend. On Saturday they both went to a Daddy Boot Camp picnic
and then they came and visited Mommy at work.
On Sunday we all took our time waking up, but when we finally did get moving we headed out for lunch and a trip to the children's museum! We love CMoR! There is so very much to do there and now that they have opened up the new area for children under three we really love it! (A few of the pictures are from our trip to the museum last week.)
Monroe really loves his daddy and was so very glad to get to spend the weekend with him!

Monroe at Maymont!
Saturday, Monroe had a lot of fun visiting some of the animals at Maymont.
He thought the potbellied pig was so funny!

His favorite animal was the cow. He practiced saying "moooooo".

He couldn't really see the black bears, but he really liked the statue!

He finished the day off with a bottle and a nap on the way home. (He was rockin' the shades that day.)
